Welcome to Recent Advances in the Modeling and Simulation of the Mechanics of Nanoscale Materials
The workshop will be held on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, at the Singh Center for Nanotechnology. It will gather experts at the forefront of the modeling and simulation of the mechanics of nanoscale materials, while ensuring a diversity of computational techniques and participants. Approaches to be discussed include (but will not be limited to) electronic structure calculations, atomistic modeling, continuum approaches for microstructure evolution and bridging techniques will be included. These technique oriented presentations will be complemented by a diverse set of applications.
